Improving critical thinking through technology

This study aimed to assess the effects on students’ abilities of a web-based instructional program, using two tools: ‘The test of critical thinking skills for K-9 students’ and ‘The test of problem-solving abilities for primary school students’. In the paper, the program, the assessment tools and the findings are outlined. Overall, the results showed that students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills were promoted through such instruction, and it is hoped that this study can be helpful to teachers who wish to adopt an innovative web-based teaching approach.
